Fertility Blood Tests

The fertility blood tests at Natility indicate the hormonal levels and their conditions that may have caused sub-fertility and infertility among patients. Our experts have the experience in handling the FSH and LH, progesterone, testosterone, Prolactin, thyroid, Anti Mullerian and other related hormone count and health condition assessment.

Female Fertility Tests

Our experts test the samples during the initial stages of the menstrual cycle to identify the root causes of sub-fertility and infertility factors.

  • FSH: LH Ratio: The FSH: LH ratio test in the normal conditions remain at 1:1. In the abnormal cases of ovarian syndrome it may go up to 1:3. Higher level of LH could mean congenital condition which adversely affects the regular production of fertility hormones. The results could be variation in the ovulation which results in infertility.
  • Prolactin Level: Our tests for the Prolactin level determine the problems related to ovulation due to high volume. The normal level of Prolactin is stated to be between 10 and 29ng/ml.
  • Anti Mullerian Level: The Anti Mullerian Hormone (AMH) indicates the healthy ovarian reserve which is responsible for the ovulation. Low level of AMH normally occurs after 40. Women with higher AMH may have the risk of ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome. Higher value could affect the probability of fertility, while the lower value seems to have no significant impact on the fertility rate and probability.
  • Progesterone: Estrogen: Higher ratio of estrogen ratio could be an obstacle to fertility and conception.
  • Thyroid Level: Abnormal levels of Thyroxin (T4) and Triiodiothyronine (T3) may result in hypo-thyroid conditions that obstruct the normal ovulation process. Our fertility blood tests determine the exact levels of the T4 and T3 hormones in the patients from all the adult age groups.

Male Fertility Blood Tests

Our male fertility blood tests are mainly concerned with the testosterone levels. Abnormal levels can affect the production volume, quality and the motility of the sperms. The variations in the libido levels are also the invariable results of abnormal testosterone levels.

The other major test we conduct for male fertility is related to the diabetes level and type. Men with diabetic conditions may experience lower probability of fertility.

Our fertility blood tests can also determine the probability of genetic disorder that may affect the male fertility. This test is often accompanied by the semen testing for sperm count, quality and motility.

Generic Blood Tests

The generic blood tests common to the men and women include HIV, chronic diseases and evaluation of damages to the glands producing the fertility hormones. In such cases we may refer you to our specialists handling therapy and surgical procedures for fertility enhancement. For the other problems we recommend holistic medicine and therapy procedures. In some cases we may have to take the course of western medicines for enhancing the hormone production and achieving the balance of hormone combination.

Our guidelines for the fertility blood tests come from the quality standards of the RCOG and NICE. We may also recommend for 3D and Ultrasonic scans along with the fertility blood tests, if and when required.
